Wanna be in my Gang?

If I was asked which item of clothing could I not live without, I would have to say, a leather jacket. They never go out of style and they look good with anything! They toughen up cutesy dresses and can give you an instant "rocker" look with skinny jeans and boots. When buying a leather jacket, I recommend spending as much as you can afford. When it comes to leather jackets you get what you pay for. The more you spend, the higher the quality which results in longevity and remember it will last forever! You could even look through vintage stores. Worn, roughed up leathers look amazing! I had a gander in all the stores in Aberdeen and I must say...you are GUARANTEED to find an amazing leather jacket in All Saints.

I also found these in Warehouse

Grrrrr.....

This season has meant the return of the animal print. I wasn't a fan last year but this time round there has definitely been some items that have caught my eye on the streets and stores of Aberdeen. Log on to the ELLE website and you can see their "6 of the best...Animal Print" That should give you some inspiration. Just don't go over-board a la Bet Lynch...

Bustifull

We are going back to the old ways in terms of underwear. No longer are we looking for pretty, sexy underwear ladies, we are looking for underwear that is going to support us and make us look fab in our clothes! A whopping 80% of women are wearing the wrong size of bra! Do you want your breasts hanging down to your waists? No! There is no excuse! Get yourself down to Bustifull for a professional fitting. It will only take 5 minutes and I promise you will be stunned at the results! Why Bustifull? The Evening Express did a "secret shopper" feature and Bustifull came out on top with 5 stars! That means they offer the most accurate fitting service in Aberdeen! So what are you waiting for ladies? Get yourself down there! In my opinion every woman should own the Fantasie Moulded Bra. Battle of the Trenches

Described as a timeless, classic item which never goes out of style, the trench coat is a must have for all fashion lovers. Here is Audrey Hepburn looking fabulous in her Trench:

This time of year has meant many of Aberdeen's stores have a wide range of Trench coats to choose from. All Saints (Union Street) have a vast amount of gorgeous jackets this season including a classic style to a more modern version of the trench coat:

These range from £250 - £260, but remember...they will last a lifetime!

If you are on a budget, Topshop also have some truly lovely trench coats on offer:

Or....save up and buy this Burberry trench...

If only... *sigh*

These boots were made for walkin'

This post will focus on boots. From flats, over-the-knee, bikers and lace-ups, I have seen many styles to choose from which means no matter what your shape, you can stomp around Aberdeen in some seriously striking boots!

My favourites are from Kurt Keiger, a store which has recently been sent from the fashion heavens to the Bon Accord Centre. Take at look at this fabulous bunch.

Venue (£250)

These over the knee boots are amazing! However, you prefer a slightly sexy boot, then why not try these?

Wand (£260)

These biker boots are also gorgeous. They have an edge over most of the boots I am going to feature..they have been reduced from £420 to £239! Get them now before they go!

Spur

These SUKI boots are my favourite in the Kurt Keiger range! These have also been reduced from £320 to £169! They have a 1960's winkle picker influenece which I adore.

Lace ups! With their suede texture and Cuban heel, you will receive envious glances walking through the granite city.

Fancy Frocks

The time for Christmas parties is here so I have been on the lookout for some looks which will instantly make you stand out. If you rely on a LBD then try this one from All Saints (£120)

If you like a bit of colour then why not try this folded cocktail dress from Karen Millen (£180) The dress comes in a selection of colours to suit your skintone (the black is stunning) but here are a couple of examples of the coulours available:

My personal favourite find is this 1920's inspired dress from Karen Millen (£165) :

Karen Millen is located in the Bon Accord centre and you can find All Saints on Union Street.

Feathered Fancies

A trend that has been noticed on the streets of Aberdeen and in many magazines is feathered skirts. Perfect for Christmas parties, these beauties add something eye catching and unique to an outfit. I found this dusky pink one from Topshop:

Team it with some killer ankle boots to toughen up your outfit.

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” Coco Chanel

Claire Lennie carries something only most girls can dream of...a quilted Chanel bag. She wears it mixed with high street and vintage pieces...I asked Claire where she gains inspiration for her unique style:

"I love the British sub-cultures. The Mods and Rockers and how style was their way of life. I also love the classic British look and designers such as Vivienne Westwood."

Do not despair if you cannot afford the real McCoy when it comes to the quilted Chanel bag ladies. There are plenty of Chanel inspired quilted bags on the high street with affordable price tags! Such as this little beauty from Miss Selfridge...it's a steal at £22.

Kimberley Stevenson is a Fashion Management student at Robert Gordon University and its clear from her sense of style that she knows what to wear and how to wear it. I asked Kimberley where or whom she gains inspiration:

"I love Alexa Chung's style because she is effortlessly stylish and is sexy in an unconventional way."

Kimberley is carrying a beautiful leather handbag, vintage Karen Millen and was given to her by her mother however, fear not...there are similar handbags available in stores throughout Aberdeen such as this beautiful leather fold over satchel from Topshop (£50).
